Advances in health care are rapidly expanding, improving options for patients. To help keep up with these advancements, Rio Grande Urology is partnering with Elligo Health Research to expand clinical research options for patients.
“Elligo Health Research provides a connection between clinical research opportunities and clinical care practices across the country. This is a twofold benefit: One, clinics can provide additional treatment options, and two, research is made more accessible. Ultimately, that allows the future of research to become more diverse,” says Martia LaManna from Elligo, who helps support the clinics, physicians, and patients participating in research.
RGU is “research ready”
RGU is 1 of 61 health care sites across the U.S. now prepared as “research ready,” thanks to the team at Elligo Health Research. This organization was founded to help address the challenges of clinical research, including getting more patients access to clinical trials through their trusted physician. As an integrated research organization, the company has helped accelerate pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and diagnostic products to better serve patients across the U.S.
By having more clinics, patients, and physicians involved in these research trials, the relevant teams can collect a more diverse sampling of results. This in turn helps researchers hone in on what is working best. As a result, treatment options improve, and we have more information to help future patients.
Advancing patient care through research
Initial research taking place at RGU includes conducting studies in advanced prostate cancer and UTI observational research opportunities. RGU is thrilled to partner with Elligo to stay on the forefront of advances in health care and, more importantly, provide our patients with the best care possible.
